Department of Land Management and Landscape Architecture

With Order No. 28/2011 of the Rector of the University of Agriculture in Kraków of 4 October 2011 on organisational changes in the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Land Surveying, the Department of Planning, Organisation, and Protection of Agricultural Areas of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Land Surveying was transformed into the Department of Land Management and Landscape Architecture as of 1 October 2011.

The Department of Planning and Organisation of Agricultural Areas was established in 1965 at the Faculty of Drainage with the Agricultural Facilities Surveying Section. Its name was changed to the Department of Planning, Organisation, and Protection of Agricultural Areas in 1997. In 2011, the name was once again changed to the Department of Land Management and Landscape Architecture.

The Department focuses on research and education in the domains of land surveying and cartography, land management, environmental engineering, and landscape architecture, all of which are fields of study at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Land Surveying of the University of Agriculture in Kraków.

In 2020, the Rector of the University of Agriculture in Kraków established the following laboratories in the department: Spatial Information (Order No. 23/2020 of 27 February 2020) and Digital Cultural Heritage (Order No. 22/2020 of 27 February 2020).
